Refund Policy for Pedal

This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds are provided for the Pedal service ("Service"), operated by "Thijs van Hal" ("Pedal", "we", "us", or "our").

1. Pay-As-You-Go Model

Pedal operates on a pay-as-you-go model where users add funds to their account balance ("Balance") and pay for the use of specific SEO tools as they are used. There are no recurring subscriptions.

2. Refunds for Unused Balance

a. Eligibility: You may request a refund for any unused portion of your Balance remaining in your account.

b. How to Request: To request a refund of your unused Balance, please contact us directly via email at mail@thijsvanhal.nl, clearly stating your request for a balance refund and providing your account email address.

c. Processing: We will process your refund request promptly, typically within 5 business days. Refunds will be issued back to the original payment method used to add the balance, where feasible via our payment processor (Paddle). Please note that processing times by banks or payment providers may vary.

3. Refunds for Tool Usage Charges

a. General Policy: Charges deducted from your Balance for the successful use of a tool within the Service are generally non-refundable.

b. Exceptions for Errors: Refunds for specific tool usage charges may be considered only in cases where a verifiable technical error or malfunction within the Pedal Service prevented the tool from delivering its intended result or caused an incorrect charge. Simple dissatisfaction with the results generated by a tool does not qualify for a refund.

c. How to Request: If you believe you were incorrectly charged due to a technical error, please contact us at mail@thijsvanhal.nl within 7 days of the transaction. Please provide:

  • Your account email address.
  • Details of the specific tool usage in question (tool name, approximate date/time).
  • A clear description of the error encountered.

d. Investigation: We will investigate the reported error. If we confirm a technical malfunction on our part that resulted in an incorrect charge or failure to deliver the service, we will issue a credit back to your Pedal account Balance equivalent to the charge for that specific tool usage.
